Project: Owlie Sleep Sack and Hat

This was a project that I loved! Who doesn't want to knit something precious for a newborn baby?!
I found this pattern on a blog that I really like.

The pictures on this blog are much better than mine. I never anticipated that I would be blogging about projects.

This is a great project for beginners. It was one of my first knitting in the round projects. The only tip that I have, which will seem really obvious for more experienced knitters, is to change to double-pointed needles when there are too few stitches to use a circular needle . It took me a few months to figure this out and I had some very tired hands by the end of my knitting in the round projects.
When you can't figure out what a knitting instruction within a pattern means, go to You Tube! I used You Tube to teach me how to knit. There are so many video tuto
rials that show you exactly what to do, it's great!

Happy Knitting!

  1. If you are not into owls, you could just skip the cable pattern and do stockinette the whole way! Still cute!
